The 'TV Chair'

Gosh, I haven't posted for ages! Mostly because I've been slack in remembering to take my camera when we leave the house and I've generally just been feeling quite uninspired lately....

We went op shopping the other day looking for a new chair for our living room. Since our living room is not wide enough for an awesome big leather corner lounge as we had hoped, we have decided to have one three seater couch and pick up a couple of random vintage chairs from op shops and have them reupholstered. Mind you, now that we've had this chair for almost a week, I'm now kind of liking this fabric and wondering if we did reupholster, what kind of fabric would we look for.... I know definitely something modern but other than that, no idea! Might need to do some more research to get some ideas!

Comfort food

Tonight we made chicken, leek and thyme risotto. Risotto is the ultimate cool weather comfort food! We had it with toasted ciabatta bread with olive oil. We also polished off close to a packet of plain grain waves whilst making dinner- damn those things are so good and so more-ish!

Nightcap

I found these pretty cotton nighties on the weekend at an op shop and bought them for my nana. 

They are so cute and in pretty good vintage condition. The photos really do not do them justice!

I have a stack of vintage nighties myself but not nice summery cotton ones like these....Now I think I'll need to hunt some down for myself! :-)

LV - My little collection

I mentioned the little LV lipstick case I found at an op shop recently and so I thought I would blog about the rest of my LV items. I can't say that I'm anywhere near a label or an LV fanatic/expert, so much so that I can't even remember the names of the items I own- hopeless! But I do enjoy using my LV pieces and love admiring them. Probably the most treasured is the agenda (diary) with it's beautiful red inside, which was a very special gift that I'm sure I'll use for many, many years to come.

Chocoholic

What is it about the cooler months that just makes me want to eat more, particularly more chocolate...?! I know they do say you generally eat more in Winter and you eat warmer, heartier foods generally. I could easily knock back a block of dark chocolate each week given the chance. Not good. 

I resolve to eat less comfort food this Winter!  ....... right after I finish the below block of chocolate.

Tea Time

There is nothing in this world more calming to me in the cooler months than sitting on the couch with a cup of green tea and a couple of magazines... Ahh.... 

If only work (and well life, really) didn't get in the way of taking time out to do this every day ;-)
